Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe common pathways and contributing factors that can lead to substance use during pregnancy, including trauma, social determinants of health, and barriers to care.
- Identify and use person-centered, respectful language when communicating about and with pregnant people experiencing substance use.
- Apply strategies that support compassionate, harm reduction, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care for pregnant people navigating substance use.
