Meet the instructor

Michael S. Hoge, DMD, MS

Michael S. Hoge, DMD, MS, is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant surgeon. He earned his DMD from Boston University and completed a residency in periodontics and implant dentistry while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He is an adjunct assistant professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry.

  • Describe disparities in oral health overall and in pregnant persons.
  • Describe two theories for the association of periodontitis with preterm birth and low birth weight.
