This webinar series is designed to strengthen the perinatal workforce’s ability to provide culturally responsive, equitable, and client-centered care. The series emphasizes practical strategies, reflective practice, and evidence-informed approaches that support diverse birthing people and families across Wisconsin. Each session will be interactive, skill-based, and applicable across perinatal roles.

Meet the instructor

Elizabeth Hovis, MD

Lizzie Hovis is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she specializes in women's mental health and perinatal substance use disorders. She is the psychiatrist for the MOTHERS (Maternal Opioid Treatment, Holistic Education, Resources and Support) program.
