Sarah Curley, MPH(c)

Sarah Curley is graduate student in the University of Wisconsin-Madison MPH program. She has extensive experience as a counselor and educator in violence prevention.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
    • Describe differences between sexual orientation and gender identity, and explain what LGBTQ+ stands for.
    • Describe how barriers to LGBTQ+ inclusive care are a systems problem.
    • Identify three levels of the socio-ecological model and how they interact with one another to produce barriers to LGBTQ+ inclusive care.
    • Name three strategies for addressing the barriers experienced by LGBTQ+ individuals.
