Cardiac Conditions in Pregnancy: Identification, Intervention, and Interdisciplinary Care
Despite improvements in care and declining mortality rates in women over the past decade, cardiovascular disease remains the number one killer of women. This presentation describes approaches to identify patients during the preconception and pregnancy periods who are at risk. The presentation reviews two more common cardiac conditions--arrhythmias and heart failure--and strategies to address them.
