Meet the instructor

Jacquelyn Adams, MD, MSCI

Dr. Jacquelyn Adams is a maternal-fetal medicine physician at UW Health and Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed medical school at Marshall University, residency at Summa Health, and a fellowship at UW. Her clinical focus includes diabetes and substance use in pregnancy.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe trauma-informed care of pregnant people with substance use disorder (SUD).
  • Describe clinical tools to screen and refer to treatment for SUD.
  • Counsel pregnant patients on harm reduction practices.
