Meet the instructor

Sara Bronson, MSN, RN, CNL, C-EFM

Sara has 40 years’ experience in nursing, primarily in obstetrics. She provides Quality and Safety oversight for the five birthing centers in ThedaCare. In practice, she implements evidence-based practice bundles to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality and is an NRP and AWHONN electronic fetal monitoring instructor. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Nurse Leadership and is certified in Inpatient Nursing, Fetal Monitoring, and Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
  • Review fetal monitoring data systematically to identify the fetal heart rate pattern classification (category).
  • Describe interventions/management of the fetal heart rate patterns based on pathophysiology.
  • Determine communication plan with other team members to ensure safe outcomes for birthing person and infant.
