Meet the instructor

Julie Bulgrin, BSN, RNC, OB, C-EFM

Julie is a nursing professional development generalist for Women and Children’s Services at Aurora Medical Center Grafton. She has 20 years’ experience in the inpatient obstetrical setting and is a fetal monitoring instructor within her own institution and with WAPC. She also teaches high risk obstetric orientation classes for new obstetric nurses in the Aurora system.

Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Review fetal monitoring data systematically to identify the fetal heart rate pattern classification (category).
  • Describe interventions/management of the fetal heart rate patterns based on pathophysiology.
  • Determine communication plan with other team members to ensure safe outcomes for birthing person and infant.
