Intersection of Trauma and OUD
There
is a strong relationship between trauma and substance use. The compounded
effects of trauma and opioid use disorder can have a cyclical, lasting impact
on development. This presentation will address the issues of trauma and opioid
use disorder broadly and contextualize them in the lived experience. In
addition, the presentation will discuss treatment and self-treatment
strategies.
